The resulting assemblages exist in a liminal space between the random scatter of a tidal zone and the orderly precision of human design. They invite viewers to reconsider their relationship with nature - to see the inherent artistry in organic forms while appreciating the transformative power of intentional arrangement.
By organizing nature's palette, I aim to heighten our appreciation for the subtle variations and harmonies that often go unnoticed in the wild. The contrasts created - between rough and smooth textures, matte and glossy finishes, and an infinite gradation of hues - serve to amplify the unique characteristics of each shell.
Ultimately, my rainbow shell assemblages are a celebration of nature's diversity and a call to look closer at the world around us.
